To all my Glen Lake Animal Hospital friends,
It has been a little over a year and a half since I was injured in an automobile accident and I wanted to give you an update on my progress. I have been able to work 3 part-time days a week over the last 10 months. I am able to perform surgery, which I truly love to do, but am only able to stand for an hour at a time. Because of this, I need to limit the number of procedures each day. I am taking it slow and have begun to build up my stamina a little each month. I do see a few appointments also each week and need to limit my time with those as well. I am very hopeful that as time goes on, I will be able to spend more time seeing my clients and their animal friends. I really miss the face to face exam room time with everyone.
It has been quite a journey and I am grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding along the way. Everyone on our hospital team has been so understanding and helpful in my absence and I am happy to be getting back in the saddle again. While I may not be able to work as much as I did in the past, I intend to continue as the primary surgeon and hope to be involved more in the exam room as time goes on.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding in these difficult times.
Your friend,
Dr. Jim Wood
